FACADE ENGINEER

Role Overview

We are hiring a mid-level Facade Engineer to prepare accurate engineering drawings and technical details for international projects. You will handle standard tasks independently, complete quality checks and seek guidance from the Team Leader or Senior Engineer on complex technical matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project inputs, including architectural drawings, specifications, IFC/BIM models and project standards.
• Identify missing or conflicting information and raise questions before proceeding.
• Prepare engineering and fabrication drawings for aluminium/uPVC windows, doors and curtain wall systems.
• Produce elevations, sections, technical details and other project drawings as assigned.
• Apply appropriate profiles, glass, hardware, fixings, sealing and interface details.
• Use AutoCAD and Logikal for project engineering and detailing.
• Check drawings for accuracy and consistency before submitting them for review.
• Prepare technical queries and communicate uncertainties, blockers or potential delays early.
• Complete assigned work within agreed timelines and estimated hours.
• Incorporate review feedback and apply lessons learned to future projects.
• Participate in technical training and continue developing facade engineering knowledge.

Skills and Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in facade engineering or detailing.
• Good understanding of facade engineering and detailing principles.
• Experience with aluminium windows, doors and/or curtain wall systems.
• Knowledge of facade profiles, glass, hardware, fixings and interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and facade drawings.
• Good proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Logikal is preferred.
• Familiarity with Kawneer, Schüco or similar systems is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of facade fabrication and installation requirements.
• Knowledge of Dutch/European facade standards, BIM, Revit or IFC is an advantage.
